How does my business find my target audience?

Who are you targeting and why? Work through the below recommendations to start your target audience plan. Ensure you are identifying and engaging with the right customer or client for your business. 


1. Clearly articulate the products or services that your business offers and the unique value they provide to your customers or clients.

2. Consider the specific needs and preferences of your potential customers or clients, and think about the types of people who are most likely to be interested in how you solve them?

3. Research your competitors and their customers or clients to gain insights into the the market and the types of people who are currently purchasing similar to your business.

4. Use market research tools and techniques, such as surveys and focus groups, to gather more detailed information about your potential customers or clients and their characteristics.

5. Analyse the data and information that you have collected, and create a profile or description of your target audience, including their demographics, purchasing patterns or behaviours, interests and needs.

6. Use the information you have collected to tailor your marketing and sales efforts to reach and engage your target audience, and create messaging and offers that are relevant and appealing to them.

7. Monitor and evaluate the success of your work to reach your target audience and make adjustments as needed to ensure that your efforts are effective and focused on the right people, the right way and by the right channel.
