Coaches may also provide feedback on progress, help you overcome obstacles and offer measures to keep you on track. A great trusted adviser to have in your network if you struggle with self-discipline, procrastination or staying motivated.
One of the goals of this relationship with your accountability or business coach is to help you take responsibility for actions and outcomes, stay committed to your goals and over the long-term. Often clients tell us that through the coaching process they develop a greater self-awareness, self-motivation and self-discipline, which help achieve success in all areas of their lives.
Three (3) examples of where an accountability or business coach may help you:
1. Stay focused on your business goals. A coach will help you clarify your objective and create a plan of action to achieve. Your coach will schedule regular check-in’s and accountability measures to ensure you stay on track and take consistent actions.
2. Develop your leadership skills: A coach will help you identify areas where you need to improve, such as communication, delegation or decision-making and provide guidance and feedback to help you develop those skills. Your coach will also help you implement your new skills.
3. Increase productivity: A coach will help you identify areas where you may be wasting time or not being efficient as you could be. Together you can identify strategies and tools to help you manage your time better and stay focused on what is the most important.
